Jeff is your go-to professional when it comes to bridging rehabilitation and performance training. He holds dual board certifications as both a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and an Athletic Trainer (ATC). Jeff earned his DPT at the University of Southern California. He went on to complete a Fellowship in Clinical & Sports Biomechanics at the Movement Performance Institute under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Chris Powers. Jeff has provided care in sports medicine settings ranging from the NFL, with the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams, to the NCAA and was an active member of the EXOS NFL Combine Training staff for the 2018 draft class. Jeff has extensive experience in movement analysis via implementation of 2D and 3D high-speed motion capture systems, integrated force metrics, and wireless-EMG technology for a variety of applications, including athletic performance optimization, determining readiness for return to sport and delivering targeted treatments for both acute and chronic conditions.
When he is not engaged in the lab or with other aspects of research/care, Jeff enjoys participating in a variety of sports, including weightlifting and football, and outdoor endeavors such as hiking and camping, all the while pursuing his artistic passion for photography.

Dr. Steven M. Egner graduated from UC Berkeley as a member of the Men’s crew team with his BA in Sociology. He then went on and graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During his >7 years of experience in outpatient rehabilitation, Dr. Egner furthered his education through participating in the Kaiser Orthopedic Residence and Dr. Chris Powers’ Lower Quarter Biomechanics Fellowship. Dr. Egner is an orthopedic certified specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association. He is also certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
He has further training in blood flow restriction therapy and stick mobility. Steve’s well-rounded sports skill set and orthopedic knowledge has been an asset to his patients overall success in both daily life and in sport.
On his spare time, Steven loves to hang out with his wife Nicole and his 3 daughters (7, 4, and <1 year).
